Maria has 10+ years of experience in education management. Before joining ECA Maria organized the Venice Design exhibition and spent 3 years as an Associate Director at prestigious IE Business School in Spain. She has Masters in Sociology from Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris.

Sara Longo
Programme Coordinator

Born in Italy, Sara grew up in the US, then in France, where she graduated in Art History (PhD-Sorbonne). She lives for visual arts and music, and for the past ten years she worked as art history teacher, translator and also as a jazz singer all over Europe. She now spends most of her time in Venice where she runs courses for educators.

Alice Janssens
External Relations & University Collaborations Manager
Alice is a cultural economist with a profound interest in architecture and a background in research and teaching on the cultural industries. While finishing her PhD, she is in charge of university partnerships at ECA, building from her work in Erasmus+ and HERA Grant funded university consortium programmes.

University Collaborations Manager, China or Venice
University Collaborations Manager, China
European Cultural Academy (ECA) offers short programs in art and architecture in Venice (Italy) and Amsterdam (The Netherlands). The architecture programs (often referred to as summer design studios) are organized for students in collaboration with architecture universities.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you passionate about architecture and would you like to develop partnerships with Chinese universities? Join the ECA as University Collaborations Manager China. In this role you are responsible for developing partnerships with academic staff to create study abroad opportunities for their students. This includes business development, account management and the organization of the short programmes in Venice, Amsterdam or online.

Qualifications

• Interest in business development with strong commercial skills
• Interest in architecture (background in the creative industries is a plus)
• A relationship manager by heart
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Highly self-motivated and able to take over responsibilities
• Able to work independently and has a self-starter mentality
• Enjoys handling multiple projects at the same time
• Good English and Mandarin (Italian and other languages are a plus)
• Available for travel
We are open minded about your background as long as you fit the skills listed above.

Main KPI's include
• Develop new partnerships with universities in China
• Meet annual sales goals
• Account management of the current partnerships
• Help to develop the course curriculum together with academics
• Help to run courses in Venice, Italy (3 - 6 weeks per year) and online.

What we offer

Manager Art programs, Venice
European Cultural Academy (ECA) offers short courses during the Venice Biennale. Our students are curators, artists and art lovers that would like to know more about the Venice Biennale and the contemporary art world.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you have experience in digital marketing and dream of working in the art world? Join our international team at the European Cultural Academy as Manager Art programs. You will join the team responsible for promoting, organizing, and running our courses about the Venice Biennale and Contemporary Art.

Main KPI's include

· Be a social evangelist within ECA
· Grow ECA social media platforms (from content creation to analytics)
· Develop fruitful partnerships with bloggers and influencers
· Work with external FB and Instagram campaign managers to optimize their performance
· Communicate with incoming leads to convert them into students
· Assist in organizing and running the programs in Venice and Amsterdam

Qualifications
  • You live and breathe social media, understanding current trends and evolution of the social media platform space
  • You love analytics, understand customer journey and funnels.
  • You take data-driven decisions (Instagram insights, Google Analytic and external platforms like Hyros)
  • You enjoy communication with other people
  • Strong interest in art
  • Hands on and proactive attitude
  • Multitasker, have excellent organizational skills
  • Good level of English, Italian is a plus
Bonus points:
  • Based in Venice, Italy
  • Google Analytics qualified
  • Adobe/Photoshop skills
