Venice is THE destination of 2018. You will be among the first to discover new talents and review projects from star-architecture studios.Top architects and designers visit the Biennale for a reason. From May until November the city offers an incredible concentration of industry best projects and exhibitions. Learn about behind the scenes of the most prestigious exhibition in the world. The course allows you to experience the event, meet organisers and participants as well as see the most forward-thinking projects from 70+ countries.

SCHEDULE: VENICE BIENNALE COURSE November 12-17
Monday
Morning: Welcome breakfast in a historic Venetian palazzo.Tour with the curator of Time-Space-Existence, Palazzo Bembo. Lunch at gondoliers' cafe Afternoon: Lecture: History of the Biennale: an Introduction in Venice and Beyond. Evening: Prosecco and spritz in a local bar (optional).
Tuesday
Morning: Visit to the Biennale Central Pavilion. The visit is accompanied by the exhibition curator. Lunch time Afternoon: Visit to an artist studio
Wednesday
Morning: Venice Biennale: selection procedures, organizational chart and things to know presented by the Biennale Foundation. Lunch time Afternoon:Workshop: how to develop personal projects in creative industry.
Thursday
Morning: Galleries: the changing business model. Q&A with the gallery director and visit to Bel Air Fine Gallery. Lunch time Afternoon: Visit to Murano: Fondazione Berengo and School of Glass, Abatte Scuola di Vetro.
Friday
Morning: Design in Venice, curatorial point of view and case study (studio visit). Afternoon: End of the course reflection session. Evening: Certificate ceremony and prosecco. Boat tour around Venice.
Saturday
Optional visit to the Biennale or pre-selected collateral events (Peggy Guggenheim or Fondazione Prada).
Meet your lecturers
You will meet international experts from all over the world. Here are some of the lecturers.
Head of the design-build office ArchiBuild. Grace is a Beirut-based practicing architect, a recipient of the Fulbright and the Japan JASSO scholarships.
Venice Cultural Heritage Expert. She has worked for UNESCO, and written a book on Venice Master Artisans, along with a number of articles for other books and magazines.
